It’s a big day for LIT Videobooks. After our successful first videobook launch for the #1 New York Times bestseller, “Contagious” by Jonah Berger, which has sold as many copies to date as the print version, we are thrilled to formally announce —

  • $5M in funding to date with the Seed round led by Marlon Nichols @ MaC Venture Capital, including investments from Founders Fund, Noemis Ventures, Thomas McGannon, Bloom Equity Partners, Harry Hurst, Cyan Banister, Larry Braitman, Zach Coelius, Terry Dougas, Russ Fradin, Hunter Walk and others.
  • The launch of a new website (www.litvideobooks.com) and the release of 3 new videobooks from top bestselling authors: “Trillion Dollar Coach” by Eric Schmidt, Jonathan Rosenberg and Alan Eagle, “Predictably Irrational” by Dan Ariely, and “Profit First” by Mike Michalowicz.
  • Andy Gaies, the former Chief Content Officer at Audible, has joined our team as of this April as Chief Operating Officer.

As a refresher, LIT’s Emmy award-winning producers combine interviews with authors and featured characters, animations, data visualizations, archive and live-action footage to bring a book’s core concepts to life in just 1–2 hours in a new, documentary-like format called videobooks that make reading as easy as watching a movie.

We provide customers with the highest quality nonfiction titles, including books on business, self-help, health and wellness, relationships and more. Through our videobooks, we aim to provide the two-thirds of Americans who consider themselves visual learners a way to access books in a more convenient way.

We are so grateful to our team, author partners, investors, early customers, friends and family that helped turn this dream into a reality. Going forward, expect new videobook releases every month, and stay tuned for updates as we blaze forward on our mission to make the learnings within highly important nonfiction literature easily accessible to all.
